Sabrina Bonini

Sabrina is specialized in Intellectual Property and has been practicing in this field since 2000, with outstanding and relevant action in the defense and prosecution of lawsuits before State and Federal Courts involving both national and multinational companies of small, medium and large size, related to trademarks, patents, industrial designs, copyrights, domain names, unfair competition, anti-counterfeiting procedures, business secrets and know-how and trade dress.

Sabrina has counseled clients through matters related to contracts, copyrights, trademarks, false association, fraud, unfair competition, cybersecurity, data privacy, and IP licensing.

​

Sabrina holds a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law from PUC-RJ, in 2004, and a law degree from Estacio de Sa University, in 1999. She has also taken several extension courses and is a regular participant in Congresses and Seminars in Brazil and abroad.

​

Sabrina is affiliated to the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association – ABPI, and to the Brazilian Bar Association of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo (OAB/RJ and OAB/SP).

​

Sabrina speaks Portuguese, English and Italian.
 

Alain Biron

Alain is specialized in Intellectual Property and has been practicing in this field since 2005. His practice extends to all aspects of trademark protection and enforcement in Brazil and internationally, including selection and clearance of trademarks, domestic and international trademark prosecution, counterfeit monitoring, IP transactions, and copyright enforcement. Alain has also outstanding and relevant activities representing clients before State and Federal Courts in lawsuits related to violations, misuse of trademarks, trade tress, unfair competition, anti-counterfeiting procedures, contract disputes, and in arbitration proceedings involving domain names.


Alain holds a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law from PUC-RJ, in 2006; an MBA in Foreign Trade and International Business Management from FGV-RJ, in 2005; and a graduation degree in Law from PUC University in 2002. He has also taken several extension courses in the area and is a regular participant in Congresses and Seminars in Brazil and abroad.

Alain is affiliated to the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI), the National Association of Lawyers and Jurists Brazil-Israel (ANAJUBI), the International Trademark Association - INTA, and to the Brazilian Bar Association of Rio de Janeiro (OAB/RJ).

Alain speaks Portuguese, English, French and Hebrew.
 

Denise Valente Cavalcante

Denise is specialized in Intellectual Property and has been practicing in this field since 1995. She counsels clients on copyright, trademark, trade dress and trade secret matters with a focus on trademark clearance, prosecution and enforcement before in Brazil. Her experience includes representing trademark owners in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Brazilian Trademark Office - INPI. 

 

Denise holds a postgraduate degree in Civil Procedural Law from Superior Law School – ESA, in 2005, and a law degree from Candido Mendes University, in 1984. She has also taken several extension courses in the Intellectual Property area. 

 

Denise is affiliated to the Brazilian Bar Association of Rio de Janeiro (OAB/RJ). 

 

Denise speaks Portuguese and French.

David Nilton Pereira de Lucena

With more than 30 years of Industrial Property experience, David is responsible for drafting, adapting and preparing patent, utility models and industrial designs applications; preparing responses to office actions and appeals against rejection decisions; preparing search reports; patentability analysis of inventions; infringement analysis of inventions and technical assistance in Intellectual Property lawsuits.

 

The broad experience as a former patent examiner and as an IP expert, has allowed David to strong ties with the BPTO and other patent offices and has given him insider’s edge when drafting and prosecuting patent applications in various technologies, including innovations relating to energy and petrochemicals, biotech, optics, mechanical and electrical, chemical, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications.

 

David holds a graduation degree in mechanical Engineering from Gama Filho University in 1979. He has also taken several extension courses in the area and is a regular participant in Congresses and Seminars in Brazil and abroad.

 

David is affiliated to the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI), and the Brazilian Industrial Property Association (ABAPI).
